Prime Minister's Task Group  report released
The Prime Minister's Task Force on emissions trading released its report 1 June 2007

Emissions Reporting to commence 1 July 2008
The Council for the Australian Federation agreed at its 12 April 2007 meeting that national greenhouse emissions reporting would commence by 1 July 2008, either through purpose-built legislation or through the National Pollutant Inventory.

• Greenhouse
  The Department of Environment and Conservation is responsible for coordinating a whole of government response to climate change. We also coordinate the implementation of the Western Australian Greenhouse Strategy, 2004, and are developing the WAGGI WA Greenhouse Gas Inventory, which will provide a means for industry and government to report their emissions.
• Office of Energy
  The Office of Energy is a change agent that leads the development and implementation of policy to meet the State's energy needs.
